Planning Commission

The Planning Commission consists of five residents who each serve a five-year term, and they are appointed by the Board of Supervisors. Planning Commission members receive a stipend for each Planning Commission meeting they attend.


Planning Commission meetingsare held at the Township building every fourth Thursday of the month at 7:00 pm.

On an as-needed basis.

The Planning Commission works toward coordinated development within the Township and functions in an advisory capacity to the Board of Supervisors. Their responsibilities include reviewing subdivision and land development plans, after which they forward the plans with their recommendations to the Board of Supervisors for approval or denial.

They use guidelines from the Township’s Comprehensive Plan, Zoning, and Subdivision/Land Development Ordinances and information from the York County Planning Commission and York County Soil Conservation District.
